Welcome

The Adams County Emergency Management Agency performs many essential functions for emergency response activities throughout Adams County.  This is accomplished through extensive use of volunteers.  This portal allows our volunteers to maintain their contact information, training records, and track volunteer hours.

 

Becoming a Volunteer

Becoming a volunteer is easy. Read through the information here to understand where you might fit into our agency, complete an application, and send it to our office. You will be contacted by one of our volunteer division coordinators to discuss your skills and interests as they relate to emergency management.

 

OPERATIONS DIVISION

The operations division has many responsibilities including:

  • Search and Rescue
  • Traffic Management for pre-planned events
  • Resource management during disasters
  • Mobilizing a variety of equipment during emergencies
  • Storm Spotting
  • Supporting incident management and Emergency Operations Center operations

 

COMMUNICATION DIVISION

The operations division has responsibilities including:

  • Storm Spotting
  • Damage Assessment
  • Establish communications for search and rescue teams
  • Establishing amateur radio communications during emergencies / disasters
  • Supporting incident management and Emergency Operations Center operations

 

VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT DIVISION

The operations division has responsibilities including:

  • Recieving and managing spontaneous or public volunteers during disasters
  • Supporting incident management and Emergency Operations Center operations
